Apply For A Wig

The Application Process

Step 1: Initial Enquiry

At The Rapunzel Foundation we supply wigs or partial funding for wigs to those suffering from longer term hair loss, who struggle to cover the cost of these pieces. We primarily supply Freedom Wigs due to the freedom they provide the wearer. Each piece is made bespoke to the wearer and because of this the process from application to receiving your piece can take up to 9 months but will last the wearer 3 years

Step 2: Application

Complete the application form at the bottom of this page. The form will ask for personal information, such as:
your name, contact details, age, medical condition (if applicable) and a brief description of your hair loss situation.

It may also include questions regarding your hair colour, length preferences, and any special requirements.

Step 3: Supporting Documentation

In order to assess your eligibility, we may request supporting documentation. This can include
medical records or a letter from your healthcare provider confirming your hair loss condition.
These documents help the foundation understand your specific needs and ensure that wigs are
allocated to those who need them most.

Step 4: Assessment and Review

The Rapunzel Foundation will review your application and supporting documents to determine
your eligibility.
The review process may take some time, as the foundation receives numerous
applications and aims to provide fair consideration to each individual.

Step 5: Notification

Once a decision has been made regarding your application, the Rapunzel Foundation will notify you of the outcome. If your application is successful, you will receive further instructions on the next steps, including the collection or fitting process. If your application is not approved, the foundation may provide information on alternative resources or support options that could be beneficial to you.

Step 6: Wig Collection or Fitting

If your application is approved, you will be guided through the wig collection or fitting process
by a representative.

The Rapunzel Foundation strives to help as many individuals as possible, but due to limited
resources, we may not be able to fulfill every request.
